Provenance notes: On title page of Othello, "John [illegible]". Probably acquired in the 17th century by Algernon Percy, 10th Earl of Northumberland; bound around 1750 by the Earl of Egremont; and embossed with the Percy arms in the 19th century. Entered National Trust in 1947 as payment in lieu of inheritance tax.

Marginalia: MS table of contents on verso of front flyleaf; next to imprint on title pages of Whore of Babylon and Northward Ho (where it is deleted and replaced with "6") and Cynthia's Revels and Eastward Ho: "23"; transcription of beginning of Othello’s final speech in margin of N2r; cropped handwritten list of roles in Othello on N2v; last two lines of Northward Ho copied around FINIS; next to imprint of 1&2 Troublesome Reign of King John: "2.1.2"

Binding: Gilt centrepiece on both covers: crescent moon, surrounded by garter motto with earl's coronet on top. Sprinkled calf, red sprinkled edges, double gilt fillet frame, gilt centrepieces (boxed).
